Abstract:		 Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by HNW Architects to undertake an archaeological watching brief during the development works at Eastergate CE Primary School, Church Lane, Eastergate, West Sussex. The watching brief monitored the ground works associated with the excavation of the foundation trenches and the reduction of the ground level. No archaeological significance was revealed during the watching brief.
