Abstract:		 Between the 29th June and 10th July 2018, Oxford Archaeology East conducted a trial trench investigation at land adjacent to Melbourn Science Park (centred TL 3864 4543). The evaluation comprised twenty-five 2m x 50m trenches, in two areas (Area A and Area B). No significant archaeological remains were encountered during the investigation. Birchwood Fields is recorded on historic and modern maps.
