Abstract: |
A programme of watching brief was conducted over a thirteen month period during groundwork associated with residential development of the site of Southlands Hospital (former Steyning Union Workhouse), Upper Shoreham Road, Shoreham, West Sussex (NGR TQ 522600 105930). No archaeological remains were identified. A brick built well and chimney base relating to the late 19th century/ early 20th century Steyning Union Workhouse were recorded. |
