Abstract: |
Survey to establish earthwork remains of further settlement, probably of medieval date, on the south-eastern side of the site of Burton Hall, and surrounding Burton, extensive remains of ridge-and-furrow cultivation which are overlain by the enclosures associated with 18th-century Burton. The survey, at 1:1000 scale, (RCHME Level 3) was executed using a Wild IC 1610 total station to establish a temporary control network and record hard detail. |
