Abstract:		 Five evaluation trenches were excavated across the site of a proposed clay sourcing pond. These works formed part of the Broadland Flood Alleviation Project. Four of the trenches contained no archaeological features. Two parallel ditches were revealed in the fifth trench. A few struck flints were recovered from their fills perhaps indicating a later prehistoric date.
