The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation ahead of a housing development comprising 19 trenches. Trench 8 revealed an urned cremation burial, of probably late prehistoric date and left in situ pending a subsequent stage of excavation. Trench 13 revealed seven small circular pits , three of which were half-sectioned; no datable finds were recovered from their fills, however these pits may also be late prehistoric in date. Trench 17 revealed a shallow, linear ditch aligned north-south, undated, which appears to have also been recorded in Trench 18; the ditch is likely to be relatively recent in date, and was perhaps a field boundary.
