Abstract:		 Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd (PCA) was appointed by CgMs Consulting, on behalf of Burton Property Ventures Ltd, to undertake an archaeological evaluation at Kent's Orchard, Houghton, near Stockbridge, Hampshire. The Site is the subject of a development proposal for six dwellings and associated access, parking and landscaping following the demolition of a number of outbuildings. The evaluation was completed largely in keeping with the Written Scheme of Investigation. The evaluation revealed no significant archaeological features or deposits. The linear in Trench 3, appeared to be modern in date and the linear in Trench 4 is undated. It is concluded that the evaluation appears to have demonstrated that the Site retains no significant archaeological resource potential.
