Abstract:		 Christ's Hospital Boarding School is listed grade II* It was built between 1896-1904 to the designs of Aston Webb and Edward Ingress Bell. David Brock is dealing with a listed building case at the school which involves building new accommodation for teaching staff and their families in the grounds. The staff have shown a preference for the being located near the boarding houses where the children board and where residential staff are also currently housed In order to make sense of the proposals before him, David has requested the assistance of an historian in the HART team to tease out the nature of the original sleeping arrangements and the thinking behind it; and subsequent changes to the planning and architecture of the houses.
