Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out by AC archaeology during groundworks associated with the construction of a new 11KV electricity cable line between East Curry, Cornwall and Nethercott, Devon. The cable route extended for a distance of approximately 7.5km and was a combination of auger drilling for erecting poles and trenching. The section of monitored cable route crossed close to three probable barrows, one of which is visible, while the remaining two were depicted on an Ordnance Survey surveyor's map of 1803-1807. |
