The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation of the site of a proposed travelling showpersons' plot and associated infrastructure on land east of Old Gloucester Road, Staverton, Gloucestershire was carried out by AC archaeology Ltd. The trench evaluation comprised the excavation and recording of seven evaluation trenches. The site lies within a single pasture field on broadly flat land surrounded by a mature hedgerow. Within all the trenches the topsoil overlay a uniform subsoil that contained later post-medieval transfer printed ceramics and clay tobacco pipe stems of similar date. The subsoil overlay the natural silty clay. No subsoil archaeological features or deposits were present.
