Abstract: |
AOC Archaeology Group was commissioned by CCG to conduct a watching brief on development works associated with the building of new homes at Welleadow St, Paisley. During the works the remains of walls, a post medieval well and the truncated remains of a possibly prehistoric ditch feature were encountered. Within the fills of the ditch were recovered a possible fragment of quern stone and a shaped and perforated stone tool. In light of this discovery a programme of post excavation works is recommended. This recommendation will need to be ratified by the West of Scotland Archaeology Service. |
