Abstract:		 A programme of archaeological works was required by Scottish Water during the laying of a new sewer at Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh. The required archaeological works took the form of a watching brief on all ground-breaking works associated with the insertion of this new sewer. The Watching Brief revealed a number of features, concentrated mainly in the western area. These included a possible Victorian sandstone sewer, a sandstone wall and a culvert.
