Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken by Archaeological Services Durham University at Easington Greyhound Stadium in October 2019. Trenches in the centre of the track proved to be filled by great thicknesses of post-war made ground - more than 3.25m in places and the full depth was not established. A field boundary ditch, present on maps until the stadium was built in the 1930s, was identified in one trench within the car park. No other features of archaeological interest were identified. |
