Abstract: |
This report details the key findings from the air photo mapping element of the Yorkshire Coast and Humber Estuary Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (YC and HE RCZAS). The YC and HE RCZAS was operated by Humber Field Archaeology (HFA) and the work was funded by English Heritage (EH). The YC and HE RCZAS is concerned with the coastline between Whitby in North Yorkshire and Donna Nook in Lincolnshire and includes the mouth of the Humber Estuary as far as Sunk Island on its north bank and Grimsby on the south. The air photo mapping project began in May 2006 and was completed in May 2007. This is primarily a management report concentrating on the methodology and products of the air photo interpretation and mapping. There are brief period and thematic summaries that highlight key results of the survey. |
