Abstract: |
Trent and Peak Archaeology was contracted to undertake an archaeological desk-based assessment and evaluation at the former Rainbow Depot, Burgage Green, Southwell. During the evaluation structural remains probably relating to the House of Correction and lace factory previously situated on the site were found, along with some remains that could be even earlier. This was followed by a historic building record of the former lace factory and engine house, and an excavation and watching brief on the former house of correction. |
