Abstract:		 Archaeology South-East was commissioned by CH2M Hill to undertake an archaeological watching brief during the geotechnical trial pitting in preparation for the proposed realignment of the road junction at Comet Corner, Middleton-On-Sea, West Sussex. The work was undertaken on 24th November 2014. A single trial pit was monitored to a depth of 0.56m and encountered only made ground, subsoil and topsoil deposits. No archaeological finds or features were encountered and the natural geology was not observed.
