Abstract: |
In December 2014 Archaeology South East carried out an archaeological evaluation on the former site of Osborne House, Station Road, Burgess Hill, in West Sussex. The evaluation consisted of 4 trenches, each 10m by 1.8m and revealed the structural remains of buildings illustrated on maps from the late 19th to late 20th centuries. The remains are associated with industrial use of the site, first as a pottery, tile and brickworks in the 19th century and later - in the 20th century - as a printworks. |
