Abstract: |
Watching brief conducted during the excavation of a length of foundation trench. The earliest feature found was a ditch thought to date to the late 11th-12th centuries. The amount of pottery found within the very small part excavated indicates occupation close by. A nearby property was built in the 13th-14th centuries. The land was then used for cultivation before becoming the gardens for properties on Wesley Lane. |
