Abstract:		 Pre-Construct Archaeology was commissioned by Leicester City Council to undertake an archaeological evaluation at Abbey Park, Leicester. The investigations were required to assess the archaeological impact of the installation of the outdoor gym equipment and tree planting scheme. Six test pits were undertaken which confirmed that there was no impact on any significant archaeological remains from the installation of the outdoor gym equipment and the planting of trees. The work carried out during the installation of the equipment and the trees was only deep enough to impact on later post-medieval levelling deposits.
