Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out on piling enabling works at 90 Long Acre, Covent Garden, Westminster, WC2E9EF. This entailed monitoring four pile locations. Made ground dating to the post-medieval period was identified directly overlying natural horizons. A possible cut feature was identified due to differential depths of natural. However, given the narrow scope of observation and means of excavation (piling rig) all interpretations should be considered tentative. |
