Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Pre-Construct Archaeology on land at Rochester Airport, Maidstone Road, Rochester, Kent, ME5 9SF. The site was located at the southern end the Airfield and is centred at National Grid Reference for the site is TQ 74560 63860. The fieldwork was carried out between the 8th and 12th of July 2019, with eleven evaluation trenches within the proposed development area. A sequence of topsoil, overlying subsoil, which in turn sealed the natural deposits was observed across the study site during the evaluation. Pits ditches and postholes of the early-mid Iron Age and Roman periods along with possible construction and robber-cuts indicative of buildings, dating to the Roman period were discovered across the site during the evaluation.
