Abstract: |
A total of 27 trenches were opened, revealing six ditches, most at the north of the field. Some 35 sherds of pottery dating from the 2nd to 4th century AD were recovered from two of the ditches. All of the features correlate well with geophysical anomalies and appear to suggest the presence of a later Roman field system. |
