Abstract: |
Three archaeologically significant areas of farmland, which lie within an ESA Stewardship scheme, were surveyed and recorded. Two of the areas - which each include Scheduled Monuments are Halwell Camp, an Iron Age settlement and at group of Bronze Age round harrows located on the adjacent summit area of Bickleigh Brake. The third area, located on a river valley to the north west of the village of Halwell, is a well-defined catch water system of 19th century origin. |
