Abstract:		 This report presents the results of an archaeological evaluation undertaken in relation to a proposed development at 117-118 New Row, Dunfermline The evaluation required a 10% trenching sample of the previously undeveloped area - a total of 85 m2. The area for trenching was reduced due to the ground conditions at the site which require buffer zones for buildings, trees and telephone pole. The evaluation undertaken on the development area found limited remains of activity. The only feature exposed was in the SE area of the site which is closest to New Row and the built-up area.
