Abstract: |
A building recording exercise and training session was held at an anti-aircraft battery site as part of the Dearne Valley Landscape Partnership Archaeology and Geology Project. The fieldwork comprised a photographic record, measured sketches and photogrammetric recording. The anti-aircraft battery is a Scheduled Monument (NHLE 1019872). The recording provided plans of the site and a photographic record of the standing buildings, including the central command block, gun emplacements, shelters and storage lockers, all of which survive in a reasonable condition. A Nissen hut that was used as a magazine is now in a very poor condition. |
