Abstract: |
In August 2014 MOLA Northampton carried out an archaeological excavation on land north of Aynho Road, Adderbury. It consisted of two areas within the proposed development site, located where the previous evaluation had revealed the highest density of archaeological features Part of a prehistoric enclosure offset from a boundary ditch was found as well as a post-medieval ditch, two pits and a number of plough furrows. All features respected the natural contours of the gently sloping site and thus the alignments were repeated between the two periods of use. |
