Abstract:		 Between the 8th and the 10th April 2019 York Archaeological Trust conducted a test pit evaluation at York Station Frontage - Toft's Tower (Tower 13) (SE 59647 51549). The work was undertaken for WYG to help inform a planning application that was under consideration by the City of York Council (18/01511/EIASN). The work was based on a Written Scheme of Investigation produced by YAT. The works involved the excavation and recording of a total of 8 test pits at the base of the tower and adjacent walls. Test pitting revealed what remained of the original sequence of medieval walls and potentially Toft's Tower. It also gave a better understanding of the rebuilding events in the 17th and 19th centuries.
