Abstract:		 Former site of 18th century coal-yard and tenements in Sheffield Park, replaced in the 19th century by Shrewsbury Works (metal), Park Works (steel) and housing. c.1900 the north part of the site became part of a L and NWR goods yard. Following a field evaluation, further mitigation fieldwork was undertaken targeting specific areas.
