Abstract: |
In February 2019 KDK Archaeology Ltd undertook an Archaeological Strip, Map and Sample Excavation at Green End Farm, Arlesey, Bedfordshire prior to the construction of new residential property on the site with associated parking and access. The project was required under the terms of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) as Condition 3 of planning permission. The excavations uncovered the remains of a number of medieval features in the form of ditches, gullies and pits, along with a post-medieval ditch and a modern pit and gully. The features seem to indicate an agricultural use for the site being on the periphery of the historical settlement at Arlesey. |
