Abstract: |
Ross and Cromarty Archaeological Services conducted archaeological monitoring during an extension to the rehabilitation of the water main on the Isle of Tiree, located off the west coast of Scotland. The monitoring was recommended as a result of consultations between Scottish Water and West of Scotland Archaeology Service. Fifty-one individual features were recorded during the monitoring; they include Post-Medieval and possibly earlier structures. A single artefact was recovered: a stone tool found close to some boundary dykes, which could date from the prehistoric period. |
