Abstract:		 An Archaeological Watching Brief was undertaken by Pre-Construct Archaeology Limited in association with road sign replacements works at the Military Road (B6318) and C257 crossroads, Rudchester, Northumberland (central NGR NZ 10320 67535). Three trial pits were monitored to allow for the installation of support poles for two road signs. Modern or Post-medieval levelling deposits and topsoil were encountered in all three trial pits. No archaeological features or deposits of significance were encountered during the watching brief.
