Abstract: |
In April 2020 Vindomora Solutions Ltd undertook an archaeological evaluation and historic building recording project at the former Belford Memorial Hall Club, Belford, Northumberland. The evaluation comprised two trenches, one to the south of the standing building and one to the north. The building recording equated to a Level 2/3 Historic England Building Survey. The historic building recording project revealed that the hall had been stripped of all original fixtures and fittings, with the only original elements of the 18th century church being the window openings and the stone walls. The layout as it stands dates to the 1920s refit and then more recently the 1958 extension and rebuild. |
