Abstract: |
Border undertook a programme of Archaeological Standing Building Recording (to Historic England Level 2) of a traditional farm outbuilding at Oxnalls Farm Newnham Bridge, comprising a two-storey cartshed and granary and attached stable range with hayloft and single storey outbuilding, constructed in a single phase during the mid to late 19th century. The cartshed/granary range retains evidence of original fabric and fittings relating to its former function as a grain store, including its kingpost roof, whitewashed walls, two trap doors and grain chutes, while the stable has an intact cobbled floor. |
