Abstract:		 Border Archaeology undertook the excavation at the site of the former Hyde Launry of two evalua\tion trenches to the north of and within the existing building and a series of geoarchaeological boreholes accross the site. The site was identified as lying within the historic suburb of Hyde, to the north of the Roman and Medieval walled city of Winchester.
