Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was undertaken by Archaeological Services Durham University on land at Tunstall Farm, Hartlepool in June 2016. No archaeological sites are known on the land, but there is widespread evidence for later prehistoric/Roman settlement in the surrounding area. The farm was built on a greenfield site in the 1970s and is unrelated to the medieval settlement of Tunstall. |
