Abstract:		 An archaeological walkover survey of Allendale Common was undertaken to inform upon the outcome of a planning application to extend the current bridlepath to 2m either side of the current line of the path. Eight sites were identified within 10m of the current route. Of these, it is recommended that two require further investigation. These include a possible prehistoric burial cairn and a quarry.
