Abstract: |
Archaeological Research Services Ltd (ARS Ltd) was commissioned to undertake an archaeological watching brief during conversion and demolition of buildings, which included monitoring of groundworks for surfacing an access road, foundations for extensions and ground source heat piping and services. Groundworks at the front of the property and the works located in the farmyard associated with the ground source heat piping and services were monitored. These works identified post-medieval and modern levelling material comprising the existing ground level as well as post-medieval field drainage and buildings identified during previous schemes of work as well as the relict remains of historic boundaries. |
