Abstract: |
site stripping and the excavation of footings for a house extension and garage at 2 Priory Road, Campton, were archaeologically monitored. The development site is within the curtilage of a 17th-century Grade II listed cottage, some distance from the historic core of the village, and had the potential to contain buried heritage assets of medieval and later date. The observations did not reveal any buried heritage assets or artefacts. It is therefore unlikely that significant buried heritage assets are present on the site, or that the development has had a significant impact on buried heritage assets. |
