Abstract: |
Trent and Peak Archaeology was commissioned by Derbyshire Properties (Estate Agents) Ltd to undertake an archaeological watching brief during the excavation of the foundations for three new dwellings at 132 Wagstaff Lane, Jacksdale, Nottinghamshire. The application (Ref: V/2018/0106) was submitted to Ashfield District Council, and granted conditional planning permission. An archaeological watching brief was maintained during all intrusive groundworks associated with the new development. A layer of re-deposited natural material was identified along with a layer of topsoil which contained debris associated with the demolition of a dwelling that was previously located on the site. No archaeological structures, deposits or features were recorded during the course of the watching brief. No finds were recovered during the course of the watching brief. |
