Abstract: |
In July 2012 a continuous archaeological watching brief was maintained during groundworks for an extension to The Coach House, Church Lane, Potsgrove, Bedfordshire. The watching brief revealed only evidence of modern services and an earlier modern surface of brick setts in front of the building. The house stands on a gentle south-east facing slope, and there was evidence for levelling up the area in front of the building. No features or deposits were found predating the construction of the house, which dates to the 1960s or early 1970s. |
