Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of development at 11 Kirkton Street and 9 Union Street, Carluke, South Lanarkshire. Seven trenches were excavated with a coverage of 234m². The remains of brick-built structures were recorded as were three shallow linear ditches. No finds were recovered but two of these ditches appeared to align with apparent boundaries shown on historic Ordnance Survey maps |
