Abstract: |
In February 2021, Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological evaluation of land at Rowdeford School Site, Rowde in Wiltshire. A total of 25 trenches were excavated. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed and no artefacts pre-dating the post-medieval period were recovered. A remnant of a undated ridge and furrow system, and a possible post-hole, were encountered but likely represent the remains of medieval or post-medieval field system. Several metal objects were recovered during the metal detector survey and all were modern in date. |
