Abstract: |
An archaeological Watching Brief was carried out on excavations for a new house at Little Ferry, Sutherland. Circa 70% of the house site, garage site and areas for services were excavated under close archaeological supervision by mechanical back-acting digger fitted with a flat-edged bucket. A loose dump of rubble containing 20th century crockery fragments and drainage fragments appeared to the north-east portion of the site, it is believed that the stones could be debris from the ruined dry stone wall that stands next to it by the eastern driveway. Otherwise there were no archaeological features uncovered within the site boundary. |
