Abstract: |
An archaeological desk assessment and walk-over survey were carried out to identify sites and features (including Scheduled Monuments) that might be affected by the construction of new electricity substations at Alness , Ross and Cromarty and Cambusmore, Sutherland. Seven alternative sites at Alness, and four sites at Cambusmore were checked to assist in site selection and design processes. This forms part of the Archaeological Heritage Impact Assessment for the Beauly to Dounreay 275kv Line Phase 2 Reinforcement Project. |
