Abstract:		 Ridge and furrow earthworks of differential survival were recorded by topographic survey, a small component of a once extensive pattern of earlier open fields that surrounded Oundle in the medieval and post-medieval period. The portion of surviving headland evidences a former furlong boundary. This piecemeal survival of the historic landscape has now been preserved by record through geophysical survey, topographical survey and excavation.
