Abstract:		 Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd (PCA) was appointed to undertake a programme of archaeological work in connection with the repair and replacement of a collapsed sewer at the Cattle Market, Winchester, hereafter 'the site'. This document provides the results of the watching brief, which comprised of visits on the 21st and 22nd February 2017. The watching brief was carried out, in accordance with the Method Statement prepared in advance of works. It is concluded that while other areas of the site, especially to the south, may have archaeological value, the monitored area of the site appear to retain no archaeological resource potential.
