Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed archaeological deposits spread widely across the site ranging from the Early Bronze Age Later Bronze Age and Medieval periods. Two post holes contained some cremated bones but these were not certainly human. The anomalies observed during the geophysical survey were confirmed. One was a Post-Medieval ditch with several parallel gullies south of it. The other was an enclosure ditch with a possible terminus: two segments of this ditch, however, produced differing dating evidence, one Bronze Age and the other medieval. Other linear features of smaller dimensions were observed in various trenches and a few pits were also present. |
