Abstract: |
A watching brief of the development works on the site, adjacent to medieval town walls on the west side of Newcastle, revealed evidence in the form of a rough sandstone wall, for a possible foundation of a nineteenth century building. A number of ceramic and other finds, dated to the later medieval and early modern periods, attest to earlier phases of activity on the site. [Au(adp)] |
