Abstract: |
A cultural heritage assessment was undertaken as part of the overall environmental impact assessment for the proposed development scheme. The main findings of the assessment were that no definable features of archaeological significance were known or suspected within the defined bounds of the assessment area. Extensive remains of ridge and furrow earthworks were close to the site. It was likely that any potential remains were removed by successive phases of agricultural activity. A further series of archaeological test pits were recommended. [Au(adp)] |
