Abstract:
The Abbots Staith warehouse at Selby is a rare, possibly unique, survival of a medieval monastic riverside warehouse. A small team of archaeologists and volunteers did an archaeological dig inside the warehouse in 2017-18, attempting to find a date for and details of the construction. This report details the dig and its results, including selected finds photos.
